Configuration and manifests
Where Acrynite keeps its configuration and catalog, and how to treat them.
The local configuration and backup catalog are stored under storage/configs/ in the working directory. Each manifest is stored beside its backup artifact.
Treat configuration as sensitive
Configuration can reference connection and storage details. Protect it accordingly.
- Restrict filesystem permissions.
- Do not commit secrets to source control.
- Maintain appropriate copies of configuration and catalog metadata.
- Preserve historical manifests alongside backup artifacts.
- Understand the retention impact before removing historical backup files.
