Verify a recovered database
Confirm that a restored database actually contains the data you expect.
After recovery, verify the result rather than assuming success. Work through these checks:
- Confirm that the database starts successfully.
- Confirm the expected databases and schemas exist.
- Check important tables and representative records.
- Compare recovered data with the expected state at the target time.
- Test basic application connectivity.
- Record the restore result and duration.
A running Docker container alone is not proof of a successful application-level recovery.
