Point-in-time recovery
Replay WAL to a specific moment in time during a physical restore.
Point-in-time recovery replays archived WAL on top of a physical base backup to reach a chosen timestamp. Supply --target-time as a UTC value to the restore run.
$acrynite restore run \$ --backup-id <backup-id> \$ --target docker \$ --target-time "2026-10-23T14:30:00Z"
Requirements for a reachable point in time
You need a compatible base backup taken before the target time, and an unbroken WAL chain covering the span from the backup to that time. PostgreSQL stops recovery safely if it finds a WAL gap or an incompatible timeline.
